Prefabricated lifting anchors.

Steel cable lifting anchors are the most economical solution for lifting and transporting precast prestressed concrete elements. It is also used in situations where its fixing part must be invisible afterwards (e.g. prefabricated foundations, beams and retaining walls). The steel cable loop coming out of the element can be cut after use.

Load capacities between 0.8 TB and 47 TB.

Lifting anchors (also called prefabricated anchors, TIL, BS, etc.) have labels identifying the manufacturer, load capacity, etc., made of PVC or stainless steel plate.

Applications: Embedding in concrete in the production process of beams and other precast building elements.

Manufacture: the prefabricated cable girders are made of high tensile strength cable (category 1960N/mm2) pressed in AlMg1.8 sleeve. The pull cable is galvanized to prevent corrosion

Performing.

  • Economical, versatile product
  • High lifting capacities

Technical specifications:

  • Manufacturing standards: EN13414-3
  • Safety factor: 4
  • Marking: punching on the sleeve + PVC label or stainless steel plate

Dimensions and load capacities

Recommendations for installation and use:

  • Each lifting loop has a label attached, marked with the permissible load and test code number. The label must remain visible after casting.
  • The loop of steel cable coming out of the element can be cut after use the cut ends must be protected against corrosion to prevent staining of the precast due to rust.
  • These lifting systems are suitable for use in a single cycle from production to final installation. Not suitable for multi-use applications
  • To choose the right size for any type of lifting, it is important to consider the lifting angle, the lifting factor and the adhesion to the formwork.
  • Lifting anchor loops must be installed in the direction of the intended load. They must be suspended from supports attached to the formwork so that 2/3 of the loop is cast and 1/3 remains exposed. The loops must be secured to the reinforcement cage to avoid movement during concreting.
  • Avoid bending the steel cable while the prefabricated unit is in storage.
  • Exposed loops can be attached to standard crane hooks, but the bend radius of the crane hook must be at least equal to the diameter of the wire rope. It is essential to check that the touch cable is in good condition, with no broken, crushed or frayed wires. Also, do not use if there are kinks in the loop or if the wire rope is corroded! Cast lifting loops that show signs of damage should not be used.

Mandatory instructions for safe working:

  • All lifting anchors (prefabrication belays) must be manually operated
  • Visually inspect precast strand before use; check and clean any impurities between strands
  • Mount the sofa in the hook of the separate lifting system without using force
  • Always comply with local regulations on safe lifting and collection.
