DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

Destructive testing can be performed on the following types of products:

  • Cables up to 65 mm diameter;
  • Cables up to 68 mm diameter;
  • Chains with a maximum diameter of 48 mm;
  • Textile webbing with a nominal load not exceeding 150 tonnes;
  • Ship hulls with a maximum breaking load of 300 tonnes.

NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

Non-destructive testing can be performed on the following types of products:

  • Cable up to 102 mm diameter;
  • Chain up to 68 mm diameter;
  • Textile webbing with a nominal load not exceeding 150 tonnes;
  • Vessel masts with a nominal load not exceeding 150 tonnes.

State-of-the-art technologies

NON-DESTRUCTIVE EXAMINATIONS

Identification of discontinuities on and near the surface. Examination of the surface of materials prone to cracking.

  • Visual examinations

    The procedure is simple, but indispensable, as visual examination requires satisfactory clarity.

  • Colour contrast

    Magnetic particle examination, colour contrast.

  • UV light fluorescence

    Examination with fluorescent magnetic particles in UV light.

DESTRUCTIVE EXAMINATIONS

Destructive checks are carried out on a 1000KN rated breaking load.

Total rupture tests or load tests are carried out for:

  • steel cable sleeves with pressed sleeve,
  • steel wire rope slings with moulded loops
  • steel cable sleeves with pressed steel flamish sleeve.
  • Cables with socket terminations
  • gread lifting chain. 80 and grade. 100,
  • circular polyester webbing,
  • polyester ear straps,
  • polypropylene, polyester, jute bores.

LABORATORY FACILITIES

  • 220V AC-DC magnetic juicers,
  • AC-DC magnetic coil D450mm,
  • UV lamps,
  • Automated test table for UV-visible magnetic fluorescent penetrating liquids etc.

TEST CERTIFICATE

After each test, a Test Certificate is issued containing all the information and measurements resulting from the test, as well as the final result if the product is accepted or rejected.
